When we arrived in Koh Samui, the day was spent relaxing but the nighttime on this island ("Koh" means island) can get hectic.


Saturday night was Chaweng revelry. Chaweng Beach has the main nightlife of Koh Samui and the scene is basically Thai girls and Western guys dancing and drinking while trying to figure out what the rest of the night may or may not bring. In the middle of all that is this climbing ladder - if you can climb up the ladder, which swings in 360 degrees, and touch the 1000 Baht note at the top then you get the money. Seems easy enough. The girl you see here is an expert trained to scale up and down the ladder forwards and backwards - leading macho Western egos into thinking that they can do it too. A definite Spectacle!
