Full Moon Party

Every time there's a full moon, all around Asia there are Full Moon Parties - one of the best being on Koh Phangan, an island north of Koh Samui. Sunday night James and I took a 20-minute boat ride over to see what this was all about. For the entire night the beach is filled with 18 - 30 somethings walking their glow paint covered bodies between clubs playing hard house, huts where djs are spinning trance, and hip hop grind fests. It reminded me a lot of Burning Man - sandy feet, mass dancing, and fire twirlers. Except that there are no sand-storms, the ocean keeps you cool, it is much less of a commercialized event... and you have to make sure to catch the last boat back at 7am or else you're stuck!
