Phuket is definitely a tourist town... and this was our front row seat to the action on the street. 40 year-old white men with 18 year-old Thai girls. Dads with their sons going to "shows". Even several families checking out the scene. Excellent people watching on this strip. And lots of shwag being sold by vendors walking the street. "You want?" Hats, Beads, touch the iguana... you name it they tried to sell it. Eventually, I wrote "NO" on this envelope and sat it up so that whenever anyone asked us to buy something, I would just point at the envelope. This reeeeaaallly pissed off the locals - we got some dirty looks. This is Dave and I making our Mean Faces. Grrrrr!
